Senior Java Developer

The position calls for a top notch Java EE developer to work with a hot Silicon Valley start-up in building the web engine for the next generation social networking and location-aware websites.

We are looking for a strong java developer with 5 or more years experience in Java EE or J2EE technologies and frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate. Solid experience in the following domains is needed to be able to engineer high performance websites: design patterns, threaded programming, database design, search platforms.

Qualifications - most or all of the following:

  • JSP, Java EE or J2EE technologies
  • Experienced in accessing SQL databases
  • Can work with Apache, Tomcat and other application servers
  • Has used Subversion in client projects
  • Experience with JUnit and familiar with test-driven development

Special knowledge and skills required:

  • Experience in implementing large, working software systems, especially for the web
  • Working knowledge of integration of social-network apps such as Facebook and Twitter
  • Demonstrable exceptional programming skills
  • Able to take responsibility for all phases of software development and is comfortable with agile development methodologies
  • Highly self-directed, a strong individual contributor, and a valuable team player
  • Willing to work extra hours to meet deliverables commitments

Educational background:

  • Graduate of any four-year college course on computer science or related field in engineering
  • Sun Java certification preferred

 

Senior PHP / Javascript Developer

The position calls for a top-notch software engineer to build next-generation social-network-aware web applications.

We are looking for a web front-end developer with strong Javascript skills who can proudly create cross-browser websites that will be used by thousands of people everyday.  We will consider bright junior applicants and seasoned programmers with team lead experience.  To increase your chances of being considered for this position, please prepare to show sample codes, as well as demonstrate what you have developed - and the more dynamic and complex they are the better.

Qualifications - most or all of the following:

  • Javascript expert
  • Experience with Javascript frameworks such as JQuery, Dojo, Prototype, Scriptaculous
  • Extensive Ajax, DHTML, CSS, XML experience
  • Can work with Tomcat and other application servers
  • Has used Subversion in client projects
  • Familiar with the use of Jslint
  • Able to develop test scripts, with familiarity with test automation software a big plus

Mobile Game and Applications Developer

The position calls for creative and top-notch software engineers to build next-generation mobile applications.

We are looking for mobile developers with proven skills in working with game algorithms, as well as designing and developing productivity applications.  A strong appreciation of usability issues and best practices is a definite plus. We will consider junior-level applicants who have actually developed a mobile application on any mobile device.  To increase your chances of being considered for this position, please prepare to show sample codes, as well as demonstrate what you have developed.

Qualifications - most or all of the following:

  • iPhone SDK or Android SDK development
  • Experience with cross-platform development environments such as PhoneGap a big plus
  • Knowledge of libraries such as Cocos2D will also be a big plus for the candidate
